What CAS do I get from this?

- Creativity, activity and Service

What is my goal?

- I want to become a good helping hand, learn and evolve as a person with knowledge.

First ORE meeting (13.12.18)

On our first meeting, Ebenlyn and her father (one of the founders for ORE Norway) had a presentation for us newcomers about what this group was about:

"Welcome to ORE youth group. ORE stands for Outreach for rural education. We stand for education, respect for all, integration, involvement, inclusion and oneness.

We want to bring youths together that will be supportive of one another. ORE is established in Norway and Africa. In Africa, our goal is that every child in every rural area should read, write, play and compute.

And in Norway we bring people of different cultural background, to respect, include, involve, integrate and learn from one another. It is open to everyone regardless of culture, religion or race."

After the presentation, we ate pizza and got to talk to and socialize with the other members of the group that was present (most were not present due to this being an introductory meeting for us new). It was a nice experience and I can not wait to be a part of this pioneer group that will be a good helping hand for youth all over the world.

Second meeting with ORE (24.01.19)

-This meeting was arranged to assign positions in the group for me, Marte, Eirin and Elleni who are new to the group. First, Ebenlyn gave us paper and we all wrote down serious topics we wanted to be educated on so we could further educate the youth about it. After having a good discussion about that, we moved on to assigning roles. I got the role of fundraising (so we can have money to go down to Africa and give a helping hand at the newly built school) and co-leader together with the already leader Ebenlyn.

Third meeting with ORE (04.02.19)
