First time playing the kalimba

-The kalimba, known as the mbira is an African instrument consisting of a wooden board with attached staggered metal tines, played by holding the instrument in the hands and plucking the tines with the thumbs. I fell in love with the soothing sound it makes and really wanted to start playing it. I got it as a Christmas gift and therefore the first song I learned was jingle bells. Before playing with the Kalimba, I toned it so the tines would have the right key. This is something i had never done before that I had to learn. I can not wait to be able to play more songs with this beautiful little instrument.

Update on Kalimba

I sadly did not find much time to learn many new songs but as you can make you own melodies on it without it sounding annoying, I try to play on it at least 1 time every week to calm my soul down.
